Guide
Practical selection notes
Key selection factors for filtration area, mud load, liquor clarity, washing demand and installation layout.
Start from the filtration duty
White liquor disc filter selection should begin with liquor flow, lime mud load, required filtrate clarity and washing duty. A model list is useful only after the mill confirms the process position and target operating condition.
- Confirm whether the filter is for a new white liquor plant, replacement or capacity upgrade.
- Review incoming solids, liquor temperature and corrosion requirements before selecting contact materials.
- Check whether the site needs compact installation, special access platforms or tie-in to existing piping.
Data needed for quotation
A useful quotation normally requires more than equipment name and capacity. Process data helps the manufacturer size filtration area, discharge arrangement and control interfaces.
- White liquor flow rate and suspended solids content.
- Lime mud washing requirement and expected mud discharge condition.
- Available layout drawings, nozzle orientation preferences and maintenance space.
Common selection risks
The main risk is choosing equipment by nominal capacity only. In chemical recovery service, slurry behavior, washing demand and site restrictions can affect the final configuration as much as flow rate.
Next step for buyers
Prepare your process data, production capacity, existing equipment information and project drawings. Anqiu Ocean Machinery can then discuss a suitable equipment configuration for quotation.
